A Fantastic Follow Up

In this exciting continuation of the story that began in Dark Siren, Kali's world continues to turn upside down. The young woman must now face a future while still being almost completely clueless about her past. As more and more strange things start to happen, Kali learns that a past love has paid a terrible price for the chance to win back her love. At the same time, she is dealing with her feelings for Rhane, as well as the tantalizing clues that start to unravel about who she really is. This novel is full of action, and a myriad of twists and turns. You have no clue what comes next. I can't give away any of the details, but I must tell you it is a must read.

great sequel!!

I totally love this series! This is a wonderful sequel. I love the new characters introduced and how things are playing out!! Kali is relearning things, and opening up to her memory that she thought she lost. Her abilities are blooming, and though she can't control them well, she knows she needs to learn how. She is turning into a wonderful heroine.
Rhane has some secrets we get to learn. We are now learning a lot about him, his past, and his journey to refinding Kali. He's so awesome. I could just swoon over him. :) There's still mystery, but this one is a little more romance related because Kali and Rhane are reconnecting. I want Kali and Rhane to work out so bad. I feel like they both went through way too much to not have this one good thing.
My only complaint was with Kali's memory flash scenes. It was a little jumpy and unclear at first, but it's not something that will throw you from the book. The thrill of the mysteries and pasts being unravelled along with new characters and new events will keep you glued to the pages anyways. I loved the twists, and I have come to love the characters, even the ones like River that you just aren't sure of. I absolutely love York. There's too many good things here. I can't wait for book three!! I need more :) 5 WOLFY PAWS!!

Full of unanswered questions but keeps you wanting more.

It is a slow beginning but it more than makes up for that with that ending. Man oh man this book is a good one, it sets up for an epic third book with so many secrets left for one to wonder about. Kali and Rhane are back with even more problems than they had in the first book. Kali is learning more about her past which is something I really liked, how you got to see her re-experience her past lives and how they fit together to help her with what was currently going on.
I liked also how much Kali trains to get better and stronger instead of sitting around for Rhane and the group to save her, I know that is what they say they are there for, but I also understand Kali not wanting to be weak and wanting to do something for herself. We also learn a little bit more about Rhane and what he is all dealing with that the Banewolf is not all it is cracked up to be.
The only thing I keep getting hung up on is that Rhane is so much older than Kali. I know, I know they were lovers in Kali's previous life and age shouldn't matter but she is seventeen, that has to be effecting her judgement some what. Though I will say Rhane is a good guy he could use their past as an excuse to do almost anything he wanted but love doesn't take advantage of stuff like that so it is done well.
